Episode Eleven | The Trial Of Light | The Occult’s Bride | Chosen Against My Will | Short Mystery Story
The night was silent, but every shadow in my home seemed to breathe. I clutched my stomach, my unborn child wriggling, as if sensing the weight of what was coming.
The stranger stood beside me, his face calm, but I could see the tension in his jaw. He whispered:
“They come for the final trial. This is the moment the prophecy foretold. But fear not—you are not alone.”
I whispered a Psalm under my breath, trembling yet determined:
> “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:2)
The wind howled through the broken windows. A dark presence filled the corners, creeping along the floor like smoke. The Shadow had returned.
The Shadow Revealed
From the darkness, a figure emerged—not human, but shifting, a mass of black fire and smoke. Its eyes burned red, its voice a thousand whispers all at once:
“The Bride and the child belong to me. Yield, and the covenant is sealed.”
I shook my head violently, clutching my stomach. “No! By the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach, we belong to the Most High!”
The stranger lifted his hands, calling out in a voice that shook the air:
“By the authority of the Almighty, I rebuke you! You have no power here, except what Heaven allows!”
The Shadow recoiled, hissing. The room lit with blinding light, and I felt warmth flooding every corner of my being.
> “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
The Trial of the Heart
The Shadow advanced, its voice taunting:
“Fear. Doubt. Hesitate. And the child will be mine.”
I felt panic rise—my mind screamed, I am only one woman! I cannot fight this!
Then, I remembered the words of Yeshua from before:
> “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
With every ounce of courage, I placed my hands on my womb and declared:
“My child belongs to the Lord. My life belongs to the Lord. Darkness, you have no claim here!”
The Shadow shrieked, the sound like a thousand breaking glass panes. Its form wavered, thinning like mist under the morning sun.
The stranger joined me, speaking Scripture aloud:
> “The LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” (Deuteronomy 20:4)
The Shadow recoiled, twisting violently. Its voice fell to a whisper:
“This is not over…”
And then, as if torn from this world, it vanished.
The Light Triumphs
Silence. Absolute, peaceful silence.
I sank to my knees, my hands still clutching my stomach. My child kicked—strong, alive. I wept, tears of relief and gratitude streaming down my face.
The stranger placed a hand on my shoulder. “It is done. The prophecy is not broken. You have chosen the Light. Your child is consecrated to the Most High.”
I whispered Psalm 91, over and over, as though the words themselves were armor:
> “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” (Psalm 91:1–2)
The air shimmered, warm and gentle. A presence filled the room—soft, comforting, undeniable. I knew without doubt that Heaven was near, protecting us, covering us.
A New Dawn
The stranger looked at me with a faint smile. “The darkness may return one day. But tonight, the covenant of light has prevailed. You are His. The child is His. And no power of hell can undo what the Most High has consecrated.”
I looked out at the first light of dawn breaking over the horizon. The night’s terror had passed. The Shadow had returned to nothingness. The fire of the occult had been snuffed out by the power of God’s Word.
I cradled my belly, whispering:
“My child, you are the fruit of the covenant, a sign of hope, a light in the darkness. The Lord has chosen you, and you shall fulfill the destiny He has set.”
> “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
And as the sun rose, the warmth of Heaven filled the room. The shadows of the past were gone, the covenant of blood broken, and the promise of life and light secured.
The stranger vanished into the morning mist, leaving me with a final blessing:
“Walk in faith. Teach your child the Word. And remember—no darkness can ever overcome the Light.”
I closed my eyes, tears streaming. The prophecy was fulfilled—not by the occult, not by the Shadow—but by the power of faith, courage, and the Almighty who never abandons His own.
