Messianic Jewish Prayer for Anxiety
Avinu Shebashamayim—my Father in Heaven,
I come before You, Hashem, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, the One who formed my inward parts and breathed life into me. I come to You in my struggle, in my restlessness, and in the weight of anxiety that tries to settle upon my heart.
Father, I ask not only for deliverance from anxiety, but even more that You would be glorified in the midst of it. Let my mind, my emotions, and my life testify of Your power, Your goodness, and Your faithfulness. May Your Kingdom expand through my healing, through my peace, and through the testimony You build in me through Yeshua, Your Messiah.
Hashem, I place myself fully under the shield of Yeshua’s blood, the blood of the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Let His blood protect my mind from torment. Let it shield my heart from fear. Let it stand between me and every anxious thought that rises like a wave. Let the blood of Yeshua silence every lie spoken against me and dismantle every fear that tries to take root.
Father, send the fire of God into the depths of my being.
Let Your fire burn away anxiety at its roots.
Let it consume worry, dread, and panic.
Let it purify my thoughts.
Let it cleanse the atmosphere around me.
Let it restore clarity to my mind and peace to my spirit.
You are the God who answered Elijah with fire (1 Kings 18:38).
You are the God who led Israel with fire by night (Exodus 13:21).
You are the God who promised to be “a wall of fire around her” (Zechariah 2:5).
I ask You to surround my life with that same holy fire.
Hashem, You commanded, “Fear not, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).
So I choose to cling to Your presence.
You said, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You” (Isaiah 26:3).
So I set my mind on You now.
Yeshua said, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
So I submit my troubled heart to Your shalom.
Father, I ask You to quiet the storm inside me.
When anxiety rises like a flood, speak to it as Yeshua spoke to the winds and waves:
“Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39).
Let that same authority flow into my spirit.
Let that same calm rest upon me.
Hashem, when my thoughts race, slow them with Your truth.
When my heart trembles, steady it with Your Word.
When fear whispers lies, drown them out with Your promises.
You said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you” (Isaiah 43:2).
And so I trust that even now, You are with me—closer than breath, deeper than fear, stronger than anxiety.
Father, teach me to rest in You.
Teach me to breathe in Your presence.
Teach me to pour out my heart before You, for “God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8).
Teach me to trust in Your unfailing love.
Let Your gentleness calm me.
Let Your strength support me.
Let Your nearness comfort me.
Let Your Spirit revive me.
Hashem, I ask that through this journey, Your Kingdom would expand in me and through me.
Let my healing become a testimony to others who struggle.
Let Your light shine through my restored peace, fulfilling the words of Yeshua:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Father, protect me from every spiritual attack that feeds anxiety.
Send Your angels to encamp around me, as it is written,
“The angel of Hashem encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them” (Psalm 34:7).
Let Your Word be the anchor of my soul.
Let Your Torah be the lamp to my feet and the light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
Let Your truth be my shield and buckler (Psalm 91:4).
Let Your presence be my resting place.
Hashem, help me to take every anxious thought and lay it at Your feet.
Let me remember that Yeshua said, “Do not worry about tomorrow” (Matthew 6:34).
Help me to trust You for today.
Help me to see Your hand in the small moments.
Help me to hear Your voice above the noise of fear.
Restore joy to my spirit.
Restore strength to my heart.
Restore courage to my soul.
Restore shalom to my mind.
Father, You are my refuge and my fortress (Psalm 91:2).
You are the lifter of my head (Psalm 3:3).
You are my Shepherd, and You restore my soul (Psalm 23:1–3).
So restore me now, Hashem.
Let peace return like a gentle river.
Let calm rise like the dawn.
Let healing flow like living waters.
Above all, be glorified, Hashem.
Be glorified in my thoughts.
Be glorified in my healing.
Be glorified in my peace.
Be glorified in my testimony.
Let my freedom from anxiety bring honor to Your Name.
I surrender my fears to You.
I surrender my worries.
I surrender the unknown.
And I place my hope fully in Your hands.
I seal this prayer with faith, with trust, and with love,
in the mighty Name of Yeshua the Messiah.
Amen.
