Ingredients:
- 500 grams ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together using your hands until well combined.
2. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a small ball. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.
3. Heat some cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place the kofta balls into the pan, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
4. Once the kofta balls are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
5. Serve the kofta hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tzatziki or tahini sauce. You can also enjoy them with pita bread or rice.
Serving size:
This recipe makes around 20 kofta balls, serving about 4-5 people.
