Prayer for Healing Asthma

Prayer for Healing Asthma

My Father in Heaven, Hashem, whose very name is a strong tower, into Your presence I come. I stand before Your throne of grace, my breath shallow, my chest tight, a constant reminder of my fragility. Yet, I do not come in my strength, but wrapped in the shield of Yeshua’s blood, the eternal covenant that speaks a better word. I come because Your Son, my Messiah, bore my infirmities and carried my diseases. I come because You are the Lord who heals me.

Hashem, El Roi, the God who sees me—You see every labored breath. You hear every wheezing whisper. You know the anxiety that grips me when the air grows thin. You formed my lungs with Your own hands, breathing into them the breath of life. Now, I ask You, Creator, to repair. I ask You, Sustainer, to restore. Let every inflamed pathway be soothed, every constricted vessel be opened, every cell sing with the oxygen of Your wholeness. As it is written in Your Torah, “I am Hashem your Healer.” Fulfill this word in my body now.

Let this healing be for Your glory, Abba. Let every deep, clear breath I take be a testimony to Your faithfulness. Let my restored vitality be a living stone in the expansion of Your Kingdom through Yeshua. May those who see Your work in me turn their hearts to You, acknowledging that there is no God like You, who forgives all iniquities and heals all diseases. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in my lungs as it is in Heaven.

I call upon the refining fire of Your presence, Holy One. Let Your holy fire course through my respiratory system, not to consume, but to purify. Burn away every impurity, every allergen, every spirit of infirmity that clings to me. Let the fire of Your love cauterize every wound of sickness. As the prophet Malachi said, “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” Refine me. Purify me. Let my body emerge from this trial as gold, testifying to Your purifying power.

I stand upon the promise of Yeshua, who declared in the gospel, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” This asthma has been a captor, an oppressor of my breath. Mashiach Yeshua, You are my liberty. Proclaim Your good news in my chest. Set my lungs at liberty. As You rebuked the fever of Peter’s mother-in-law, rebuke this inflammation. As You spoke to the wind and waves, “Peace, be still,” speak now to my respiratory system, “Be at peace. Be still and whole.”

I remember Your word through the Psalmist: “As for me, I shall call upon God, and Hashem will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will complain and murmur, and He will hear my voice.” I have murmured in my distress, and I know You hear. I remember the faith of the woman who said, “If I only touch His garment, I will be made well.” Yeshua, I reach for the corner of Your prayer shawl now. I touch You in faith. I feel the shield of Your blood surrounding me, a fortress against all affliction.

Father, be magnified. Be exalted. Let Your name, Hashem, be praised in the silence of a symptom-free night and in the strength of a vigorous day. Let this healing be a banner that draws others to the salvation found only in Yeshua. Let Your Kingdom expand through this miracle, as lives are touched not just by the healing, but by the Healer.

I declare over my body the words of Yeshua from the gospel: “I will; be cleansed.” I receive Your will. I receive Your cleansing. My breath is in Your hands.

In the mighty and merciful name of Yeshua ha’Mashiach, I pray.

Amen.
