Prayer for Strength - Messianic Jewish Prayer
Avinu Malkeinu, my Father and my King,
I come before You, Hashem, the Holy One of Israel, with a heart that longs for Your glory. I lift my soul to You, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—You who are my light, my salvation, and the strength of my life (Psalm 27:1).
Father, I bless You, for You are righteous in all Your ways and faithful in all Your works (Psalm 145:17). I humble myself before Your majesty and proclaim that Your kingdom is the only kingdom that will never be shaken. May Your great Name be sanctified in my life, may Your presence rest upon me, and may Your purposes go forth like fire throughout the earth.
Hashem, I ask You to cover me under the shield of Yeshua’s blood, the blood of the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Through that precious atonement, I find refuge, healing, cleansing, and boldness to stand before You. Let the power of Yeshua’s sacrifice be a banner over me today, guarding my mind, my spirit, and my steps.
Father, strengthen me with Your might.
You promised long ago, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you” (Isaiah 41:10). I cling to this word. Let it rise within me like a river. Make my heart steadfast, trusting in You.
Kindle within me the fire of God, the fire that fell for Elijah on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:38), the fire that purifies, consumes, and empowers. Let Your holy fire burn away every fear, every lie, every heaviness, and every scheme of the enemy. Let it refine me like gold in the furnace (Zechariah 13:9).
Father, I ask for strength not for my own sake, but so that You will be glorified. Let every victory in my life magnify Your Name. Let every breath I take testify that You are the living God, the Redeemer of Israel, the giver of every good and perfect gift.
Hashem, cause Your Kingdom to expand through me. Let my words carry the compassion of Yeshua; let my hands do the works He commanded; let my heart beat in rhythm with His. Yeshua said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). May that be my life, Father—an instrument of Your glory.
Teach me to walk in the ways of Your Torah, to love mercy, to do justice, and to walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). Keep my steps aligned with Your commandments, and let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
Strengthen my faith as You strengthened Moses, who stood before Pharaoh with nothing but Your word and Your power. Strengthen me as You strengthened David, who declared, “By my God I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall” (Psalm 18:29). Strengthen me as You strengthened Joshua, to whom You said, “Be strong and courageous… for Hashem your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
Father, may the courage of the prophets rest upon me. May the boldness of Yeshua fill me—He who said, “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Let His overcoming power rise within me today.
Let the shield of Yeshua’s blood defend me.
Let the fire of Your presence empower me.
Let the breath of Your Spirit revive me.
Let the glory of Your Name rest upon me.
I declare that You, Hashem, are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). I hide under the shadow of Your wings until destruction passes by (Psalm 57:1). You are my strength and my song, and You have become my salvation (Exodus 15:2).
Father, fulfill Your word in me.
Increase my strength.
Deepen my faith.
Expand Your Kingdom through my life.
And let all of it, every bit of it, be for Your eternal glory.
I thank You for hearing me,
I thank You for strengthening me,
and I thank You that You are faithful to complete every good work that You begin.
I seal this prayer in the mighty, holy, and beautiful Name of Yeshua,
Amen.
