Prayer For Leaders of Government - A Cry For The Glory of HaShem and The Expansion of His Kingdom Through Yeshua

Prayer For Leaders of Government - A Cry For The Glory of HaShem and The Expansion of His Kingdom Through Yeshua

Avinu Malkeinu—our Father, our King—

I come before You in humility and trembling, lifting my voice not only for myself, but on behalf of the leaders of government You have allowed to stand in positions of authority. I acknowledge first and foremost that You alone are sovereign, that power does not originate in human hands, but flows from Your throne in heaven.

As it is written in the Tanakh:

> “The Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He wills.” (Daniel 4:17)

HaShem, I declare that You are the Judge of all the earth, righteous and just in all Your ways. Before any parliament, court, congress, council, or throne was ever established, You were already King. I ask that Your great Name be sanctified in every seat of government, in every decision made behind closed doors, and in every law formed in public view.

Just as Yeshua taught us to pray, I pray now with reverence and faith:

> “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9–10)

Father, let Your Kingdom come into governments, not through force or pride, but through truth, righteousness, humility, and repentance. Let Your will dismantle what is corrupt and establish what is just. Where leaders have leaned on their own understanding, draw them back to Your wisdom.

Your Word declares:

> “By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice.” (Proverbs 8:15)

HaShem, I ask You to touch the hearts of presidents, prime ministers, governors, judges, legislators, and local officials. Turn their hearts like streams of water in Your hand. Where there is arrogance, release holy fear. Where there is confusion, release clarity. Where there is deception, shine the light of truth.

I pray for leaders who know You—and for those who do not yet know You. I ask that the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah would break through blindness, pride, and spiritual resistance. As Yeshua Himself said:

> “For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world—to testify to the truth.” (John 18:37)

Let truth confront lies in the chambers of power. Let righteousness be more than a word—it must become a way of life. May leaders come to understand that authority is a stewardship, not a possession.

Father, I place the shield of Yeshua’s blood over these leaders and over the nations they serve—not as an excuse for sin, but as divine protection and divine invitation to repentance. I ask that the blood of the Lamb would speak mercy where there has been injustice, and restraint where there has been violence.

As it is written:

> “He was pierced for our transgressions… and by His wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

Let that healing reach governments fractured by division, hatred, corruption, and fear.

HaShem, release the fire of God—not the fire of destruction, but the refining fire of Your holiness. Burn away wicked counsel. Consume hidden agendas. Refine motives. Purify intentions. Let leaders tremble not before public opinion, but before Your presence.

Your Word says:

> “Is not My word like fire?” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)

Let Your fire break hardened hearts and stubborn ideologies that exalt themselves above You.

Father, I pray that leaders would learn the fear of the LORD, for:

> “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9:10)

Grant them wisdom from above—pure, peaceable, and grounded in truth. Teach them to defend the vulnerable, to honor life, to pursue peace, and to walk humbly before You.

Yeshua said:

> “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

Make our leaders peacemakers, not warmongers. Servants, not tyrants. Guardians of justice, not manipulators of power.

HaShem, where nations have forgotten You, call them back. Where leaders have mocked Your ways, humble them. Where policies oppose Your design for life, family, and justice, bring conviction and course correction.

I declare what is written:

> “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

Let righteousness once again exalt our nations.

Father, above all, be glorified. Be glorified in legislation. Be glorified in diplomacy. Be glorified in courts and councils. Be glorified when truth is spoken and when repentance is chosen. Let no leader steal the glory that belongs to You alone.

Yeshua declared:

> “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” (Matthew 28:18)

So I ask, Avinu Malkeinu, that Your authority through Yeshua the Messiah would quietly but powerfully advance in governments across the earth. Let Your Kingdom expand—not in name only, but in fruit.

I surrender these leaders to You. I trust Your justice. I trust Your mercy. I trust Your timing. And I boldly ask that You would accomplish what no human effort ever could.

May Your Name be lifted high.

May Your Kingdom come.

May Your will be done.

I seal this prayer with faith, humility, and hope—

in Yeshua’s name. Amen.
