Prayer For My Boyfriend — A Messianic Jewish Prayer For Protection, Purpose, And Kingdom Expansion

Avinu Malkeinu,
Our Father, our King,
Hashem, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—

I come before You with reverence, humility, and deep love in my heart. I lift my voice to You not as a stranger, but as a daughter who knows Your covenant faithfulness, Your mercy that endures forever, and Your holiness that fills heaven and earth.

Today, Father, I bring my boyfriend before You.

I place him before Your throne of grace. I place his life, his calling, his future, his thoughts, his steps, and his destiny into Your mighty hands. Let my prayer rise like incense before You, and may it be pleasing in Your sight.

Hashem, You are One.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

I ask first and foremost that You be glorified in his life.

Just as Yeshua prayed,
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You.” (John 17:1)

So I pray now: glorify Yourself through him. Let his life reflect Your holiness. Let his choices magnify Your Name. Let his obedience cause Your Kingdom to advance on the earth.

May Your Kingdom come, and may Your will be done in his life, just as Yeshua taught us to pray:
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9–10)

Father, I ask that You surround him with the shield of Yeshua’s blood.

As You once instructed our ancestors to place the blood on the doorposts so that death would pass over them (Exodus 12:13), I now ask that the blood of the Lamb cover him completely—spirit, soul, and body.

I declare what was spoken of Yeshua:
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

Let that blood be a shield around him.
A shield against the enemy.
A shield against deception.
A shield against fear, temptation, sickness, and spiritual attack.

Like David declared, I proclaim over him:
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation.” (Psalm 18:2)

Hashem, be his refuge. Be his strong tower. Let no weapon formed against him prosper.

I ask, Father, that You ignite the fire of God within him.

You declared,
“For I,” says the LORD, “will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.” (Zechariah 2:5)

Be a wall of fire around him. Let the fire of Your Spirit burn away compromise, fear, and distraction. Let holy passion rise within him—a passion for truth, righteousness, justice, and love.

As it is written,
“But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.” (Malachi 4:2)

Let that healing fire touch his heart. Heal old wounds. Heal disappointments. Heal places where hope has been deferred. Restore his strength like the eagle’s.

Father, I ask that You order his steps.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.” (Psalm 37:23)

Guide him in wisdom. Lead him in clarity. Close doors that are not from You, and open doors no man can shut. Let him hear Your voice clearly, just as Yeshua said:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)

Hashem, place Your hand upon his work. Bless the labor of his hands. Establish him in integrity and truth. May he trust in Your Name, not in human strength:
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20:7)

I pray that Your Kingdom would expand through his life.

Let him be a light in dark places. Let his words bring life. Let his presence carry peace. As Yeshua declared,
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)

Use him, Father, to point others to You. Let him walk in the authority Yeshua proclaimed:
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

May that authority be evident in his life through humility, love, and obedience. Let people encounter You because of the way he loves, serves, and speaks truth.

Father, bless him and keep him.
Make Your face shine upon him and be gracious to him.
Lift up Your countenance upon him and give him peace.
(Numbers 6:24–26)

And above all, Hashem, may You be glorified.

May Your Name be exalted.
May Your purposes prevail.
May Your covenant promises be fulfilled.
May Yeshua be lifted high in his life, and may Your Kingdom continue to advance until the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD.

I seal this prayer with faith, gratitude, and trust—

In Yeshua’s name,
Amen.
