Scripture, Reflection, Prayer & Affirmation for a Mother Feeling Burned Out
Bible Verse:
But those who wait on the LORD, Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Reflection:
Burnout often feels like you’re running on empty while everyone still needs something from you. But God does not measure your worth by how much you produce in a day. He meets you in your exhaustion—not with criticism, but with rest that restores what striving has worn down. You are allowed to pause. God is not in a hurry with you.
Prayer:
Lord, breathe strength into my tired soul and teach me to rest in You. In Jesus's name. Amen.
Affirmations:
I am held by God even when I am depleted.
Rest is not failure; it is obedience and renewal.
Old Testament Verse:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…” — Book of Isaiah 40:31
Short Reflection:
Burnout can make you feel like you have nothing left to give, yet everything still depends on you. This verse doesn’t tell you to push harder—it invites you to hope in the Lord. Renewal doesn’t come from squeezing out more effort; it comes from being replenished by God Himself.
Very Short Reflection:
God renews what you feel is used up.
Very Short Prayer:
Lord, restore my strength and carry me when I feel too tired to keep going. In Jesus's name. Amen.
Affirmations:
God is renewing my strength even now.
I am sustained by Him, not by my own energy.
