Starting a business can feel exciting one minute and absolutely terrifying the next.

One moment I’m thinking, “This is it! I’m finally going to do this!”

Then five minutes later, I’m wondering, “What in the world was I thinking?” 😅

Launching something new requires courage because I cannot always see the entire road ahead.

But Isaiah 43:19 reminds me that God specializes in making roads where I cannot yet see one.

The wilderness represents those seasons when I don't know exactly how everything will come together.

The desert represents those places where resources may seem limited, opportunities may seem scarce, and answers may seem far away.

Yet God says, “I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

That means I don't have to have every answer before I take the first faithful step.

Perhaps the business idea in my heart isn't simply about making money. Perhaps it is connected to something God wants me to build, serve, create, provide, or contribute.

That doesn't mean every idea automatically comes from God, nor does it mean launching a business will be easy.

There may be rejection.

There may be slow seasons.

There may be unexpected expenses, difficult decisions, and days when I stare at my numbers wondering whether my calculator has personally betrayed me. 😂

But I can remember this:

I don't have to create the entire road. I simply have to be willing to walk with God as He leads me.

I can pray.

I can plan.

I can learn.

I can seek wise counsel.

I can work diligently.

And I can trust God with what I cannot control.

Maybe the new thing God is beginning doesn't look impressive yet.

Maybe right now it is only an idea, a sketch, a website, a product, a service, a conversation, or the first customer.

But small beginnings can become meaningful journeys.

So today, I choose courage over fear.

I choose obedience over perfection.

I choose preparation over procrastination.

And I choose to believe that if God is leading me into something new, He can provide the wisdom, strength, creativity, opportunities, and direction I need for the journey.

The wilderness may be unfamiliar, but it isn't too difficult for God to make a way through it.

I don't need to wait until everything is perfect.

I can begin with the knowledge, skills, resources, relationships, and opportunities already available to me.

Progress is often more valuable than perfection.

3. Build With Integrity

I want my business to succeed without compromising my values.

I can pursue excellence, treat people honestly, keep my word, serve my customers well, and make decisions I can feel good about when I pray at the end of the day.

Success isn't merely about how much I build.

It's also about who I become while building it.

Father,

Thank You for every new beginning You place before me.

When I encounter a wilderness, remind me that You can make a road.
