Healing from Measles - Spiritual Warfare Prayer
Avinu Malkeinu, our Father and our King,
I come before You in humility, reverence, and faith.
I come before You as the God of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya'akov, the God of Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah, the God of Israel, the Creator of heaven and earth, the One whose name is Hashem, the Holy One of Israel.
I lift my voice to You because You alone are God.
You alone are Creator.
You alone are sovereign.
You alone are worthy of glory, honor, worship, and praise.
I do not come trusting in my own strength. I do not come trusting in human wisdom alone. I do not come trusting in fear, superstition, or empty words. I come before You acknowledging that my life is in Your hands.
As the Psalmist declares:
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come? My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:1–2
Hashem, my help comes from You.
You made heaven and earth.
You formed the human body.
You know every cell, every tissue, every organ, every immune response, every fever, every rash, every breath, every heartbeat, and every hidden process that I cannot see.
Nothing about this illness is hidden from You.
You know what measles has done to the body.
You know the fever.
You know the weakness.
You know the exhaustion.
You know the pain.
You know the inflammation.
You know every symptom.
You know every complication.
You know every fear.
And You know the path toward healing.
So I bring this entire situation before You.
Hashem, I Ask for Healing
Father, in the name of Yeshua, I ask You for mercy and healing.
I ask You to strengthen the body.
I ask You to strengthen the immune system.
I ask You to give the body wisdom and strength to respond appropriately to this infection.
I ask You to protect the lungs.
Protect the brain.
Protect the eyes.
Protect the ears.
Protect the heart.
Protect every organ.
Protect the nervous system.
Protect the body's ability to recover.
Protect against dehydration and dangerous complications.
Protect the body during every stage of this illness.
I ask You to bring the fever down according to Your mercy.
I ask You to bring relief from suffering.
I ask You to restore strength.
I ask You to restore appetite.
I ask You to restore sleep.
I ask You to restore hydration.
I ask You to restore energy.
I ask You to bring the body toward complete recovery.
And while I pray, I also ask for wisdom to receive appropriate medical care, because I recognize that seeking medical help does not diminish Your sovereignty. You are the One who gives human beings knowledge, understanding, skill, and compassion.
You taught Your people:
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying: When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, or a scab, or a bright spot…”
Leviticus 13:1–2
Father, Your Torah demonstrates that matters involving disease were not to be treated carelessly or ignored. Give me wisdom to respond responsibly to illness, to seek appropriate examination and treatment, and to protect other people from unnecessary exposure.
Give wisdom to physicians, nurses, caregivers, parents, family members, and everyone involved.
Let their hands be steady.
Let their minds be clear.
Let their decisions be wise.
Let them recognize danger quickly.
Let them recognize improvement quickly.
Let them have compassion.
And above all, let Your name be glorified.
I Declare That You Are the Healer
Hashem, I remember the words spoken to Israel:
“For I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
Exodus 15:26
You are Hashem Rofecha—the LORD who heals.
Therefore I ask You to manifest Your mercy in this situation.
Where there is weakness, bring strength.
Where there is inflammation, bring restoration.
Where there is dehydration, provide restoration.
Where there is exhaustion, provide renewed strength.
Where there is fear, provide peace.
Where there is confusion, provide wisdom.
Where there is danger, provide protection.
Where there is suffering, provide comfort.
Where there is illness, let healing come according to Your will and mercy.
I remember the words of the prophet:
“But they that wait for the LORD shall renew their strength.”
Isaiah 40:31
Therefore I wait upon You.
I do not surrender to fear.
I do not surrender to despair.
I do not surrender to hopelessness.
I place my hope in Hashem.
Under the Authority of Yeshua
Father, I come before You through Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel.
I remember the words of Yeshua in the Gospel:
“With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
Therefore I bring before You what appears impossible.
I bring before You what frightens me.
I bring before You what I cannot control.
I bring before You what medicine cannot completely explain.
And I place it in Your hands.
Yeshua taught:
“Have faith in God.”
Mark 11:22
So I ask You to establish my heart in faith.
Let my faith not be a faith that denies reality.
Let it be a faith that brings reality before the living God.
Let me acknowledge the illness without becoming consumed by it.
Let me acknowledge the symptoms without worshiping fear.
Let me seek medical wisdom without believing that human beings are ultimately sovereign.
Let me pray boldly without presuming upon Your will.
Let me trust You through every stage.
The Shield of Yeshua's Blood
Father, I ask You to place me under the protection and mercy that I associate with the sacrificial blood of Yeshua, the Messiah.
I proclaim the significance of the blood of the Messiah as a sign of redemption and covenant mercy.
I ask for the shield of Yeshua's blood over my life, my body, my household, and those caring for me.
I ask that You guard me from fear, despair, hatred, accusation, and spiritual oppression.
I ask You to establish peace around me.
I ask You to guard my mind.
Guard my heart.
Guard my thoughts.
Guard my household.
Guard those who are vulnerable.
Guard those who care for the sick.
And let the reality of Your mercy become greater in my consciousness than the fear produced by sickness.
I remember the words of the Psalmist:
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalm 91:1
Hashem, let me abide under Your shadow.
Let me not live in terror.
Let me not become consumed by catastrophic thoughts.
Let me remember that my life belongs to You.
The Psalm continues:
“He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”
Psalm 91:2
You are my refuge.
You are my fortress.
You are my God.
In You I trust.
Spiritual Warfare Against Fear
Father, I recognize that spiritual warfare is not an excuse to ignore physical reality.
Therefore I refuse to confuse wisdom with fear.
I refuse to confuse caution with panic.
I refuse to confuse prayer with neglect.
I refuse to believe that seeking appropriate medical treatment means that I have abandoned faith.
Instead, I ask You to unite faith, wisdom, humility, and responsible action within me.
Yeshua said:
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
Matthew 10:16
Give me that wisdom.
Make me discerning.
Make me careful.
Make me compassionate.
Make me responsible.
Help me protect others from infection.
Help me follow appropriate public-health guidance.
Help me recognize when symptoms require urgent attention.
Help me listen carefully to qualified medical professionals.
And while I do these things, let my heart remain anchored in You.
The Fire of God
Hashem, I ask for Your holy fire—not as a weapon of human anger, but as a picture of Your holiness, Your presence, Your purification, and Your consuming power.
Your Word says:
“For our God is a consuming fire.”
Deuteronomy 4:24
Father, let Your holy fire burn away fear.
Burn away despair.
Burn away hopelessness.
Burn away bitterness.
Burn away spiritual confusion.
Burn away every destructive thought.
Burn away everything within me that keeps me from trusting You.
Let Your holiness purify my heart.
Let Your presence surround me.
Let Your fire represent Your refining work within me.
As the prophet Malachi declared:
“For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap.”
Malachi 3:2
Refine me, Hashem.
Purify me.
Strengthen me.
Teach me.
Correct me where I need correction.
Comfort me where I am hurting.
And bring me through this experience with a deeper knowledge of Your faithfulness.
Father, Be Glorified
Above my desire for comfort, I ask for Your glory.
Above my desire for an immediate answer, I ask that Your name be honored.
Above my fear of illness, I want to remember who You are.
Father, be glorified.
Be glorified in the healing.
Be glorified in the medical care.
Be glorified in the wisdom of physicians.
Be glorified in the compassion of caregivers.
Be glorified in the protection of family members.
Be glorified in the restoration of health.
Be glorified in the testimony that comes from this experience.
Be glorified if healing comes quickly.
Be glorified if healing comes gradually.
Be glorified in every step.
Let no part of this experience become an occasion for me to forget You.
Yeshua taught:
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
Matthew 6:9
Therefore my first request is not merely, “Make me comfortable.”
My first request is:
Hallowed be Your name.
Let Your name be honored.
Let Your name be revered.
Let Your name be magnified.
Let Your Kingdom come.
As Yeshua taught us to pray:
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10
Father, let Your Kingdom advance through Yeshua.
Let the sick discover hope.
Let the fearful discover peace.
Let families discover compassion.
Let people turn toward You.
Let suffering become an occasion for mercy.
Let healing become an occasion for thanksgiving.
Let every testimony point beyond the gift to the Giver.
Protect Others
Hashem, I also pray beyond myself.
If I have measles, protect those around me.
Protect children.
Protect infants.
Protect pregnant women.
Protect people whose immune systems are vulnerable.
Protect elderly people.
Protect caregivers.
Protect healthcare workers.
Protect neighbors.
Protect strangers.
Give me wisdom to avoid exposing others unnecessarily.
Give me humility to follow appropriate isolation and public-health instructions.
Teach me to love my neighbor not merely with words but with responsible actions.
Yeshua taught:
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Matthew 22:39
Therefore I ask You to make my conduct an expression of love.
If staying home protects another person, give me the humility to stay home.
If seeking medical care protects another person, give me wisdom to seek it.
If following professional instructions protects another person, give me grace to follow them.
Let my faith produce love, wisdom, responsibility, and compassion.
When Fear Rises
Father, when fear rises in me, remind me:
You are God.
You are Creator.
You are sovereign.
You are near.
You hear prayer.
You see suffering.
You know the body.
You know the future.
You are not surprised by anything happening within me.
The Psalmist says:
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.”
Psalm 56:3
So when I am afraid, I will trust You.
When I wake during the night, I will trust You.
When the fever frightens me, I will trust You.
When I see the symptoms, I will trust You.
When I am exhausted, I will trust You.
When I do not know what tomorrow will bring, I will trust You.
My trust is not based upon my ability to predict the future.
My trust is based upon Your character.
Peace in the Midst of Sickness
Yeshua said:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.”
John 14:27
Father, let the peace of Yeshua govern my heart.
Let peace enter the room.
Let peace enter my thoughts.
Let peace enter my breathing.
Let peace enter my sleep.
Let peace enter my conversations.
Let peace enter the hearts of my family.
Where there is panic, bring calm.
Where there is dread, bring reassurance.
Where there is loneliness, bring Your presence.
Where there is exhaustion, bring rest.
Where there is uncertainty, bring wisdom.
Where there is grief, bring comfort.
Where there is pain, bring mercy.
I Ask for Restoration
Hashem, I ask for restoration from the beginning of this illness to the end.
Restore what has been weakened.
Restore what has been depleted.
Restore strength.
Restore hydration.
Restore nourishment.
Restore restful sleep.
Restore normal bodily function.
Restore energy.
Restore peace.
Restore confidence.
Restore joy.
And when recovery comes, do not let me forget to give You thanks.
The Psalmist says:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases.”
Psalm 103:2–3
Therefore I will remember Your benefits.
I will remember Your mercy.
I will remember Your compassion.
I will remember Your faithfulness.
I will remember that every breath is a gift.
Every day is a gift.
Every moment of strength is a gift.
Every act of human kindness is a gift.
Every physician who serves faithfully is a gift.
Every person who prays is a gift.
And every healing improvement is an occasion for gratitude.
Give Me Courage
Father, give me courage to face this illness without pretending that it does not exist.
Give me courage to seek help.
Give me courage to rest.
Give me courage to ask questions.
Give me courage to tell others when I need assistance.
Give me courage to follow medical instructions.
Give me courage to isolate when necessary.
Give me courage to admit when symptoms are worsening.
Give me courage to seek urgent care when appropriate.
And give me courage to continue praying.
I remember the words:
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14
So I wait upon You.
Strengthen my heart.
Strengthen my body.
Strengthen my household.
Strengthen those who care for me.
Let the Kingdom Advance Through Yeshua
Father, I ask that this prayer ultimately serve a greater purpose than my immediate circumstances.
Let Your Kingdom expand through Yeshua.
Let people who encounter sickness encounter compassion.
Let people who experience fear encounter hope.
Let people who feel helpless discover that they can call upon You.
Let people who are searching discover the God of Israel.
Let the name of Yeshua be associated not with fear, hatred, or superstition, but with mercy, truth, repentance, compassion, faith, and hope.
Yeshua said:
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Mark 1:15
Father, let Your Kingdom come.
Let hearts turn toward You.
Let repentance lead to restoration.
Let faith produce obedience.
Let obedience produce love.
Let love produce compassion.
And let compassion become visible in the way we care for the sick.
My Declaration of Trust
Today I declare:
Hashem is my God.
Hashem is my refuge.
Hashem is my strength.
Hashem is my hope.
Hashem is my healer.
Yeshua is the Messiah whom I confess and upon whom I call.
I will not make sickness my god.
I will not make fear my master.
I will not make symptoms my identity.
I will not surrender my heart to despair.
I will seek wisdom.
I will seek appropriate medical care.
I will pray.
I will rest.
I will protect others.
I will trust Hashem.
And I will give thanks.
The prophet Isaiah declares:
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
Father, uphold me.
Strengthen me.
Help me.
Be with me.
Let Your presence be greater than my fear.
Let Your mercy be greater than my anxiety.
Let Your faithfulness be greater than my uncertainty.
A Final Cry to the Father
Avinu Malkeinu,
I place this illness before You.
I place this body before You.
I place this mind before You.
I place this household before You.
I place everyone who is sick before You.
I place everyone who is frightened before You.
I place everyone who is caring for the sick before You.
I ask You to have mercy.
I ask You to heal.
I ask You to protect.
I ask You to strengthen.
I ask You to guide.
I ask You to comfort.
I ask You to restore.
I ask You to glorify Your name.
Let Your holy fire symbolize Your refining and purifying presence.
Let the shield of Yeshua's blood remind me of redemption and mercy.
Let the promises of Your Word strengthen my heart.
Let the teachings of Yeshua guide my conduct.
Let wisdom govern my actions.
Let compassion govern my relationships.
Let faith govern my heart.
And let Your Kingdom advance through Yeshua.
If healing comes, I will praise You.
If healing comes gradually, I will continue to praise You.
In uncertainty, I will praise You.
In recovery, I will praise You.
In weakness, I will praise You.
In strength, I will praise You.
Because You are worthy before I see the answer.
You are worthy while I wait for the answer.
And You will remain worthy after the answer comes.
As the Psalmist declares:
“I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Psalm 34:1
Therefore, Father, let praise rise from me even in this difficult hour.
Let my life testify that You are God.
Let my recovery, my conduct, my compassion, my faith, and my testimony bring glory to Your name.
Hashem, glorify Your name.
Father, glorify Your name.
Let Your Kingdom come.
Let Your will be done.
Let healing and mercy be manifested according to Your will.
Let Yeshua be exalted as the Messiah.
Let Your people walk in wisdom, holiness, compassion, and faith.
And may every blessing ultimately return to You in thanksgiving.
In the name of Yeshua, the Messiah, I pray. Amen.
