Prayer for Healing Head Lice
Oh, Hashem, my Heavenly Father, I come before You now, in my distress and in my need. I feel the crawling affliction, the persistent itch of the head lice, a small torment that reminds me of my fragility and the brokenness that touches even the smallest parts of this world. Yet, I lift my eyes to You, the Maker of heaven and earth. I seek not just relief, but Your face. I desire not just cleanliness, but Your holiness to be manifest in this body, Your temple.
Father, I stand before You, aware that no flesh is righteous on its own. So I consciously, deliberately, place myself behind the shield of Yeshua’s blood. That sacred covering, that mark of the ultimate Passover Lamb, is my defense. Just as the blood on the lintel caused the destroyer to pass over, I plead that the cleansing, protective power of Yeshua’s sacrifice now covers me. Under this shield, I am redeemed. Under this shield, I approach Your throne of grace. Let this physical struggle be met with the spiritual reality of that blood-bought protection, a fortress against both affliction and despair.
Hashem, You are a consuming fire. I ask now for the purifying, refining fire of Your presence to fall upon this situation. Burn away the impurity, the nuisance, the unholy irritation. Like the refiner’s fire for silver, let Your holy flame pass over me. Not to consume me in judgment, but to cleanse me in mercy. Purge this infestation, Lord, as You purge sin from the heart. Let every unclean thing flee before the wildfire of Your Spirit, for You are He who makes “all things new.” As it is written by Your prophet, “But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire.” (Malachi 3:2). Refine me through this, Oh God.
My Father, my deepest cry is that You would be glorified. Let this small battle become a testament to Your great power and Your attentive compassion. May those who see or hear of this healing know that it is Your hand at work. Let Your name be lifted high, not just in the miraculous, but in my posture through the trial. Even as I scratch my head, let me praise Your name. Even in my frustration, let me proclaim Your faithfulness. You are the Lord who heals me, “for I am Hashem your Healer.” (Exodus 15:26). Let Your healing now bring You honor and draw hearts to wonder at Your kindness.
Expand Your Kingdom through this, my God. Let this personal healing be a tiny stone in the growing mountain of Your dominion. Let it serve as a reminder that Yeshua HaMashiach came to destroy every work of the enemy, to reverse the curses of a fallen world, and to restore shalom—wholeness—from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. He demonstrated this Kingdom when “healing every disease and every affliction among the people” (Matthew 4:23). He showed that Your rule touches the leper, the bleeding, the fevered, and yes, even the vexed. Let this healing be a proclamation: The Kingdom of God is here, it is accessible through Yeshua, and it brings restoration to all areas of life.
I cling to Your promises, Lord. I remember the psalmist’s cry, “O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.” (Psalm 30:2). I remember the woman who said, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” (Matthew 9:21). That same faith touches the hem of Your majesty now. I receive Your word, Your touch, Your commanding power that rebukes sickness and tells even the smallest pestilence, “Be gone.”
So I stand, covered by the shield, refined by the fire, and longing for Your glory. I receive Your healing touch, from the top of my head, through every strand of hair, down to the roots. Let health be restored, let peace replace irritation, and let my scalp know the freedom of Your deliverance.
I pray all this in the mighty, holy, and authoritative name of Yeshua HaMashiach, the Son of David, the Son of God, the Living Word who healed all who came to Him. Amen.
