Prayer for Protection - Messianic Jewish Prayer
Avinu Shebashamayim—my Father in Heaven,
I come before You, Hashem, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, the Keeper of my soul. I lift my voice to You because You alone are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). Blessed be Your Name forever and ever, for You reign in majesty, clothed in splendor and strength.
Father, I ask today that You would be glorified in my life, in my thoughts, in my home, in my steps, and in every breath You give me. Let nothing in me speak louder than Your holiness. Let Your purposes shine forth like the morning sun. May the nations see that You alone are God, and may Your Kingdom advance in this world through Yeshua the Messiah, Your anointed One.
Hashem, I stand today under the shield of Yeshua’s precious blood, the blood of the Lamb who came as the promised Messiah, who was spoken of by the prophets, and revealed in Your perfect timing. As it is written of Him, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Through His blood, I take refuge; through His covering, I find safety. Let the power of that atonement be like a wall of fire around me.
Father, surround me with the fire of God—the same fire that descended for Elijah on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:38), the fire that led Israel by night in the wilderness, the fire that purifies, protects, and reveals Your glory. Let that holy fire burn away every scheme of darkness that seeks to rise against me. Let it expose every lie, break every attack, and consume every weapon formed against me. For You declared, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17).
Hashem, I cling to Your promises.
You said, “Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you” (Isaiah 41:10).
You said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned” (Isaiah 43:2).
You said, “I will be to her a wall of fire all around” (Zechariah 2:5).
I take these promises into my heart as armor and into my spirit as a shield.
Father, protect me from every hidden trap, from every attack of the enemy, and from every place where darkness seeks to find entrance. Guard my mind with Your truth. Let Your words be like a sword in my mouth, for Yeshua said, “Your word is truth” (John 17:17). Let Your Torah be the lamp to my feet and the light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
Hashem, expand Your Kingdom through me, even in the midst of trial and battle. Let my life testify of Your goodness. Let Your glory rise upon me so that others may see You through me. As Yeshua taught, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
May every act of protection in my life become a testimony to Your greatness.
Father, I ask You to station Your angels around me as written, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11). Let Your presence be my shield and fortress. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 17:8). Be my strong tower, my deliverer, and the lifter of my head (Psalm 3:3).
Strengthen me with the courage of King David, who declared, “Hashem is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1). Strengthen me with the steadfastness of Moses who said, “Hashem will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14). Strengthen me with the confidence of Yeshua who proclaimed, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matthew 28:18).
Let the authority of Yeshua guard my path.
Let the blood of Yeshua shield my life.
Let the fire of God surround my steps.
Let the Name of Hashem be exalted and glorified through my protection.
Father, I submit myself fully to You.
Let nothing touch my life except what You permit and what You redeem.
Let every challenge become a testimony.
Let every battle become a place of victory.
Let every moment of protection reveal Your power and Your presence.
Above all, be glorified, Hashem.
Let Your Name be honored in my life.
Let Your Kingdom advance through my obedience, my worship, and my faith.
I seal this prayer, with faith and with devotion,
in the mighty Name of Yeshua the Messiah.
Amen.
