Prayer for Today - Messianic Jewish Prayer
Avinu Shebashamayim—my Father in Heaven,
I come before You, Hashem, humbly and boldly, longing for Your presence, crying out for Your glory to fill my life today. I ask You to hear me not because of my worthiness, but because of Your mercy, because of Your covenant, because of the redemption You have provided through Yeshua HaMashiach.
Father, You are the One who said through the Psalmist:
“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the Name of Adonai is to be praised.” (Psalm 113:3)
So let Your Name—Your holy, beautiful, eternal Name—be lifted high in my life today.
I surrender this day to You.
I surrender my plans, my worries, my hopes, and every breath I will take.
I ask for Your will to be done and for Your Kingdom to move forward through the power and compassion of Yeshua.
A Cry for Hashem’s Glory Today
Hashem, let Your glory be revealed today.
Not only in the heavens where the angels behold You,
and not only in the ancient stories that testify of Your wonders,
but now, in this very moment of my life.
Let Your glory shine where I walk,
in the way I speak,
in the way I love,
in the way I respond to challenges and blessings alike.
Just as Yeshua said:
“Let your light shine before others, so they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
Father, I ask You to make me a vessel of light—
not a flickering candle, but a torch of Your goodness,
a living testimony of Your faithfulness,
a reflection of Your heart.
Let people see You, not me.
Let them encounter the compassion of Yeshua in everything I do today.
Covered by the Shield of Yeshua’s Blood
Father, today I take refuge under the shield of Yeshua’s blood.
I ask You to cover my mind, guard my heart, strengthen my spirit, and protect my steps.
For You have said in the Torah:
“The blood shall be a sign for you.” (Exodus 12:13)
And Yeshua said at the Passover table:
“This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.” (Matthew 26:28)
Let the covenant covering of Yeshua speak better things over my life today—
deliverance instead of fear,
mercy instead of judgment,
protection instead of danger,
restoration instead of ruin.
Hide me in the power of His sacrifice.
Let no weapon formed against me prosper.
Let no lie take root.
Let no darkness invade the place where Your light dwells.
Invoking the Fire of God for Today
Adonai, I also ask for Your holy fire—
not the fire that destroys,
but the fire that purifies,
the fire that awakens,
the fire that renews my passion for You.
Your fire fell in the days of Elijah, and the people cried:
“Adonai, He is God!” (1 Kings 18:39)
Let that fire fall on my heart today.
Burn away the apathy, the distractions, the doubts, the heaviness,
and ignite a deeper love for You.
Let Your fire sharpen my discernment.
Let it cleanse my motives.
Let it strengthen my obedience.
Let it remind me that holiness is not old—it is eternal, beautiful, transformative.
Burn away everything that keeps me from walking boldly in the calling You have placed on my life.
Asking for the Kingdom to Expand Through Yeshua Today
Father, let Your Kingdom advance today through Yeshua.
Expand it in my heart.
Expand it in my home.
Expand it in my community.
Expand it in Israel and in every nation.
Let the words of the prophets be fulfilled again in this generation:
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Adonai as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
And let the prayer of Yeshua come alive in me:
“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
Father, open the eyes of those who seek truth.
Open the hearts of those who hunger for meaning.
Open the spirits of those who feel lost.
Reveal Yeshua as the Messiah, the Shepherd, the Light of the World, the Son who reflects Your glory.
Let every good work, every conversation, every moment today be an opportunity for Your Kingdom to advance.
A Prayer for Strength, Wisdom, and Peace
Adonai, I ask You for strength today—
not merely physical strength,
but the strength of the soul that David spoke of:
“Adonai is the strength of my life—whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)
Give me wisdom—
the wisdom Yeshua promised when He said:
“Ask, and it will be given to you.” (Matthew 7:7)
Give me peace—
the peace only Yeshua can give:
“My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” (John 14:27)
Let that peace guard my thoughts,
calm my emotions,
steady my decisions,
and quiet every storm that tries to rise inside me.
For the Father to Be Glorified in All Things
Above everything I ask today—
Father, be glorified.
Be glorified in my weakness.
Be glorified in my strength.
Be glorified in my victories.
Be glorified in my trials.
Be glorified in my relationships.
Be glorified in my work.
Be glorified in my worship.
Be glorified in every breath that I breathe.
As Yeshua prayed:
“Father, glorify Your Name.” (John 12:28)
Let nothing in my life dim Your light.
Let nothing overshadow Your goodness.
Let nothing take Your place in my heart.
Closing Prayer
Avinu, I give this entire day to You.
Guide me.
Protect me.
Purify me.
Empower me.
Strengthen me.
Use me for Your purposes.
Let Your Name be magnified.
Let Your Kingdom expand.
Let Your fire cleanse.
Let the shield of Yeshua’s blood cover me.
May everything I do today bring honor to You, my Father.
I seal this prayer in the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach,
Amen.
