Prayer For Guidance At Work - That The Father May Be Glorified and His Kingdom Expanded Through Yeshua
Avinu Malkeinu—our Father, our King—
I come before You in humility and trust. I lift my eyes to You, HaShem, Maker of heaven and earth, the One who called light out of darkness and purpose out of dust. Today I bring my work before You—the decisions, the pressures, the unseen moments, the words I will speak and the silence I must keep. I ask You to guide me, not by my own understanding, but by Your wisdom that is pure and peaceable.
You have said, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6). So I acknowledge You now, HaShem, in this place where I labor. Straighten my paths. Order my steps. Establish the work of my hands for Your glory.
Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in my work as it is in heaven, just as Yeshua taught us to pray (Matthew 6:10). I surrender my plans, my ambitions, and my fears. I choose to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting Your promise that all I truly need will be added to me (Matthew 6:33).
Father, I ask that You be glorified in everything I do. Yeshua said, “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples” (John 15:8). Make my work fruitful—not merely successful in the eyes of people, but rich with eternal value. Let my integrity speak louder than my words. Let excellence be my worship. Let humility be my strength.
I place myself under the shield of Yeshua’s blood—the blood of the covenant poured out for many (Matthew 26:28). Cover my mind, my heart, my relationships, and my workplace. Where there is accusation, let there be peace. Where there is confusion, let there be clarity. Where there is fear, let there be courage rooted in Your love.
HaShem, You are my shield and my glory, the lifter of my head (Psalm 3:3). Be a wall of protection around me. Guard my mouth so that my speech brings life. Guard my thoughts so that they remain pure and focused. Guard my actions so that they reflect Your holiness.
Send the fire of God upon me—not to consume me in destruction, but to refine me in holiness. As it is written, “He is like a refiner’s fire” (Malachi 3:2). Burn away pride, impatience, and selfish ambition. Purify my motives. Ignite within me a passion for righteousness, justice, and mercy. Let the fire of Your Spirit empower me to work with diligence and joy.
I remember the words spoken concerning Yeshua: “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Luke 3:16). I ask for that holy fire to energize my calling. Let it awaken creativity, perseverance, and bold faith within me, so that my work becomes a testimony of Your goodness.
Father, unless You build the house, those who build it labor in vain (Psalm 127:1). I invite You to build—build my character, build my discernment, build my influence for good. Teach me when to speak and when to listen. Teach me when to lead and when to serve. Give me wisdom beyond my years and peace beyond my circumstances.
I choose to abide in Yeshua, for He said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). I cling to Him as my source. Let His life flow through my work, turning ordinary tasks into sacred offerings. May others encounter Your kindness through my actions and glimpse Your Kingdom through my faithfulness.
HaShem, may Your Name be made great through what I do each day. As the prophet declared, “From the rising of the sun to its setting My Name will be great among the nations” (Malachi 1:11). Use even my workplace as ground where Your Name is honored and Your light is seen.
I offer You my labor, my time, and my talents. Let my work advance Your purposes on the earth. Let Your Kingdom expand through Yeshua in and through my life, until the knowledge of the LORD fills the earth as the waters cover the sea.
I trust You. I follow You. I give You all the glory, Father.
I pray all of this in Yeshua’s holy and powerful Name. Amen.
