Prayer For Intercession - Messianic Jewish Prayer
Avinu Malkeinu—our Father, our King—
I come before You in humility and awe, calling upon Your holy Name, HaShem, the Name above all names, the Name that was, that is, and that will be. You are righteous in all Your ways and faithful in all You do. Heaven is Your throne and the earth is Your footstool, yet You bend Your ear to hear the cry of one who calls upon You in truth.
I stand before You as an intercessor, not by my own merit, but sheltered beneath the shield of Yeshua’s blood—the blood of the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). I thank You that through Him I may draw near with confidence, for Yeshua Himself said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). By His mercy, I come.
HaShem, I lift my voice on behalf of others—those known to me and those known only to You. I carry them before Your throne, trusting Your compassion, for You have declared, “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness” (Exodus 34:6). Let Your mercy flow like a river, and let Your righteousness roll like mighty waters.
I ask that You be glorified in the heavens and on the earth. As it is written, “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory” (Psalm 115:1). May every answer to this prayer, every hidden work of grace, and every visible breakthrough point back to You alone. Let Your Kingdom expand through Yeshua, just as He taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).
Father, I intercede for Your people Israel and for the nations. Remember Your covenant promises, spoken through the prophets and sealed by Your faithfulness. You have said, “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). Let that blessing be fulfilled fully through Messiah Yeshua, the Son of David, the light to the nations.
I stand in the gap for those who are weary, oppressed, sick, and broken in spirit. You are close to the brokenhearted and You save those crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Yeshua, our Messiah, You invited the burdened to come, saying, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Let that rest flow now by the power of Your Spirit.
HaShem, release the fire of God—holy, purifying, and refining. Let it burn away fear, sin, deception, and despair. As You answered Elijah with fire from heaven, revealing that You alone are God (1 Kings 18:38–39), answer again in our generation. Let hearts turn back to You, and let false altars fall. Ignite faith where there has been doubt and courage where there has been silence.
I intercede for leaders, authorities, and those entrusted with influence. Grant them wisdom from above, for “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). Turn their hearts like channels of water in Your hand (Proverbs 21:1), so that justice, righteousness, and mercy may prevail. May Your Name be honored in decisions made and paths chosen.
Father, I cry out for the lost, the wandering, and the ones who do not yet know the Shepherd’s voice. Yeshua declared, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Draw them by Your lovingkindness. Open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears, and soften hardened hearts, that they may see Your salvation and glorify Your Name.
I place a hedge of protection around those I intercede for, covering them with the shield of Yeshua’s blood. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your angels and fill their homes, minds, and bodies with Your peace.
HaShem, search me and know me. Cleanse my heart as I stand before You for others. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). Let my life be a living testimony, so that intercession is not only spoken with my lips but lived through obedience and love.
Above all, Father, be glorified. Let Your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). May every knee bow and every tongue confess the truth of Your Kingdom, just as Yeshua proclaimed the nearness of that Kingdom wherever He went (Mark 1:15). Let Your will be accomplished, Your purposes fulfilled, and Your Name exalted forever.
I seal this prayer with faith and thanksgiving, trusting You who hears and answers.
I offer it all, humbly and boldly, in Yeshua’s name. Amen.
