Purim — Prayer of Deliverance and Joyful Celebration
Avinu Malkeinu,
My Father and my King,
On this sacred day of Purim, I lift my heart to You in awe and gratitude, remembering Your mighty hand that delivered Israel from the plans of Haman and preserved Your covenant people. “For the hand of the LORD is upon all who seek Him, for the power of the Almighty protects those who trust in Him” (Psalm 33:18–19, paraphrased). Today I rejoice in Your deliverance, recognizing that Yeshua, my Messiah, is the ultimate salvation and protector of Your people.
Father, I cover myself with the shield of Yeshua’s blood. Let His sacrifice guard me from every attack, every plot of the enemy, and every work of darkness. “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). May Your blood surround me as a fortress of protection, and may Your presence fill my dwelling with peace, joy, and security.
Ignite the fire of God within me, Abba. Let Your Spirit burn in my heart and soul, empowering me to rejoice with a heart fully devoted to You. “For I, declares the LORD, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory within her” (Zechariah 2:5). Let Your fire consume fear, doubt, and despair, replacing them with courage, hope, and celebration of Your glory.
Yeshua, I rejoice that You are my eternal Deliverer, the One who intercedes for Your people and defeats every enemy. “I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). As the story of Esther reminds us, You turn mourning into joy, sorrow into celebration, and danger into victory. Let me experience the fullness of this promise in my life today.
Abba, I thank You for the joy of Purim, for the triumph of Your faithfulness, and for the reminder that You are sovereign over every circumstance. “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14). May my heart overflow with thanksgiving, my lips praise Your Name, and my hands serve Your Kingdom.
I repent for the times I have relied on my own strength, neglected Your counsel, or doubted Your faithfulness. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Cover me with the blood of Yeshua and cleanse my life, so that I may walk in Your light and joy.
Father, I intercede for Israel. May the people of Your covenant recognize Yeshua as Messiah, and may Your Spirit bring awakening and deliverance. “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy” (Joel 2:28). Let Your Kingdom expand, bringing light, salvation, and joy to all corners of the earth.
I also lift up the nations, Abba. May Your glory, revealed in Yeshua, go forth like fire over every land. “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations” (Matthew 24:14). Let rivers of living water flow through Your people, bringing healing, freedom, and eternal life to those who seek You (John 7:37–38).
Father, as I celebrate Purim, may I not only rejoice in past deliverance but also recognize Your ongoing salvation in my life. Let this season of joy and remembrance deepen my faith, strengthen my witness, and ignite a passion to advance Your Kingdom. Let the shield of Yeshua’s blood protect me, the fire of Your Spirit refine me, and the glory of Your Name shine through me.
B’shem Yeshua HaMashiach — in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah, Amen.
