Simchat Torah — Prayer of Rejoicing in the Living Word
Avinu Malkeinu,
My Father and my King,
On this day of Simchat Torah, I lift my heart in joy and gratitude, celebrating the eternal gift of Your Word, the Torah, and the Living Torah, Yeshua HaMashiach. “The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple” (Psalm 19:7). I rejoice that Your Word is alive, and Your promises endure forever.
Father, cover me with the shield of Yeshua’s blood. Let His perfect sacrifice protect me from sin, condemnation, and every attack of the enemy. “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). May His blood sanctify me and make me worthy to dwell in Your presence as I celebrate Your holy Word.
Ignite the fire of God within me, Abba. Let Your Spirit burn in my heart, illuminating the path of obedience, truth, and righteousness. “For I, declares the LORD, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory within her” (Zechariah 2:5). Let Your Word transform my mind, refine my spirit, and strengthen my hands for service in Your Kingdom.
Yeshua, You are the Living Word who dwelt among us: “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us” (John 1:14). May my life reflect Your presence, wisdom, and glory. Let me not only read Your Torah but live it fully, bearing fruit in obedience, love, and witness.
Abba, I thank You for the joy of Your Word, for the guidance it provides, and for the hope it gives. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). May Your Torah guide my steps, guard my heart, and illuminate the path for others to see Your glory.
I repent for the times I have neglected Your Word, ignored Your commands, or followed my own understanding. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Purge all pride, distraction, and rebellion from my life, and help me embrace Your truth wholeheartedly.
Father, I intercede for Israel. Open the eyes of Your people to see Yeshua, the Messiah, in every page of Your Word. “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy” (Joel 2:28). May Your Kingdom be established in Israel, bringing light, salvation, and joy to Your people.
I also pray for the nations. Let the knowledge of Your glory, revealed in Yeshua, advance like fire throughout the earth. “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Let rivers of living water flow through Your people, bringing healing, freedom, and eternal life (John 7:37–38).
Abba, as I celebrate Simchat Torah, may my heart overflow with joy, worship, and devotion. Let my life proclaim Your glory. Let the shield of Yeshua’s blood protect me, the fire of Your Spirit refine me, and Your Word dwell richly in me, guiding my steps in righteousness.
Father, glorify Yourself in Israel, glorify Yourself in the nations, and glorify Yourself in my life. May this day of rejoicing be a foretaste of the eternal joy found in Your presence and in the eternal Word, Yeshua HaMashiach.
B’shem Yeshua HaMashiach — in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah, Amen.
