Sukkot Prayer | Prayer To End Sukkot, The Feast Of Tabernacles 

Closing Prayer for Sukkot: Dwelling Forever in HaShem’s Glory

Avinu Malkeinu, my Father and my King,

As Sukkot comes to its close, I lift my voice and my heart to You, HaShem, the Holy One of Israel. You are my refuge and my dwelling place through every season. “LORD, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations” (Psalm 90:1). In these days of rejoicing, You have sheltered me beneath the sukkah, reminding me that You alone are my covering and that I live not by my strength, but by Your mercy.

Now, Abba, as I prepare to step out of the sukkah, I do not leave Your presence, for Your Word promises: “My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people” (Ezekiel 37:27). Seal this truth upon my heart with the shield of Yeshua’s blood, that no accusation of the enemy, no storm of this world, and no weakness of my flesh may separate me from Your love and covenant.

Father, glorify Your Name through my life. As it is written: “And a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘I have glorified it, and will glorify it again’” (John 12:28). Let the fire of God burn within me, purging what is unclean, igniting a passion for righteousness, and spreading the light of Yeshua’s truth to all who dwell in darkness. “For I, declares the LORD, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory within her” (Zechariah 2:5).

Yeshua, my Messiah, You stood on the great day of this very feast and cried out: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within him” (John 7:37–38). As this festival closes, I pray that those rivers would not cease to flow. Let the Spirit of the Living God pour out through me to refresh the weary, to heal the brokenhearted, and to proclaim freedom in Your Name.

HaShem, may this feast not end with silence, but continue as a testimony. You promised through the prophet Zechariah: “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles” (Zechariah 14:16). I long for that day when every nation, tribe, and tongue will bow before You in Jerusalem, rejoicing in Your reign. Father, let Your Kingdom expand even now. May the knowledge of You cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

I remember Your promise: “On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem” (Zechariah 14:4). I wait with anticipation for the day when Yeshua will return in glory, when the temporary will give way to the eternal, and when the sukkah of David, once fallen, will be restored forever. Until that day, keep me watchful and faithful, clothed in the shield of His blood and upheld by the fire of Your Spirit.

Abba, You said: “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the LORD. And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be My people” (Zechariah 2:10–11). Let the joy of Sukkot remain in me as a song that does not fade, a testimony that I have tasted Your goodness and long for Your fullness.

As David sang: “One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple” (Psalm 27:4). Father, let my sukkah experience remind me of that greater dwelling, when I will be forever in Your presence, clothed in light and joy.

Glorify Yourself in Israel, glorify Yourself in the nations, glorify Yourself in me. Expand Your Kingdom through Yeshua HaMashiach, that all the earth may declare: “The LORD will be King over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and His Name the only Name” (Zechariah 14:9).

I close this festival in hope, in thanksgiving, and in worship, sealed in the shield of Yeshua’s blood, guarded by the fire of Your Spirit, and lifted up for the glory of HaShem.
