Prayer During Persecution - Messianic Jewish Prayer

Prayer During Persecution - Messianic Jewish Prayer

Avinu Malkeinu—our Father, our King—
I come before You in the midst of pressure, opposition, and affliction, lifting my soul to HaShem, Maker of heaven and earth. You are the Holy One of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I cling to Your Name when my strength feels small. Let Your great Name be sanctified in my life. Let the Father be glorified in me, whether in peace or in suffering, and let Your Kingdom expand through Yeshua the Messiah.

HaShem, You see what is hidden. You count every tear and hear every whispered prayer. As it is written, “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). I declare this truth now. Fear will not rule my heart. I choose trust, even when surrounded.

Father, I ask that You cover me with the shield of Yeshua’s blood—blood that speaks better things, blood that marks me as Yours. Let it be a sign upon me as in Egypt, when You said, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you” (Exodus 12:13). By that holy covering, protect my mind, my body, my household, and my calling. Let every accusation fall silent before Your throne of mercy.

In the fire of persecution, ignite within me the fire of God. Burn away fear, compromise, and despair. Refine me, not to destroy me, but to make me shine. As You were with our fathers, be with me now, for You have said, “When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2). Stand with me in the furnace, O Faithful One, as You stood with the righteous before.

Yeshua, my Messiah, You warned us with truth and love: “If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you” (John 15:18). You also promised me hope, saying, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). I hold tightly to Your words. Let Your victory be my anchor when the storm rises.

Father, strengthen me to endure with humility and courage. Teach me to love my enemies, as Yeshua taught: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:44–45). I choose to bless and not curse, to intercede and not retaliate, so that Your nature may be revealed through me.

Let my life testify to Your Kingdom. Let persecution become a doorway for Your glory. As Yeshua said, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Use my faithfulness as a witness. Use my endurance to draw hearts to You.

HaShem, remember Your promises spoken through the prophets. You are my refuge and fortress, as it is written, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Hide me under the shadow of Your wings. Let Your angels encamp around me, and let Your peace guard my heart.

Even now, I declare that You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. I declare that no suffering is wasted in Your hands. May the Father be glorified in my perseverance, and may Your Kingdom advance through my obedience, through my prayers, through my unshaken trust in Yeshua the Messiah.

Strengthen me to stand. Purify me to reflect You. Empower me to endure with joy.
I surrender all to You, and I give You glory in the fire.

I pray all of this in Yeshua’s name. Amen.
