For The Woman Who Wants To Go Deeper

For The Woman Who Wants To Go Deeper

What if becoming a Proverbs 31 woman has less to do with doing MORE—and more to do with becoming rooted in who God created you to be?

There was a season when I thought being a godly woman meant I needed to have everything together.

The peaceful home.

The organized schedule.

The beautiful prayer life.

The patient response.

The wise words.

The strong faith.

The endless ability to serve everyone around me without ever getting tired.

And, somehow, I thought I was supposed to smile while doing it all.

Maybe you know that feeling.

You love God.

You genuinely want to grow.

You want your life to reflect Him.

You want to become wiser, stronger, more disciplined, more compassionate, more faithful.

But sometimes you look at your life and think:

“Where do I even begin?”

That question is exactly why I created 30 Day Proverbs 31 Devotional - A Journey Into Godly Womanhood.

Not because I believe women need another list of things they aren't doing well enough.

But because I believe we need space to slow down.

To listen.

To reflect.

To pray.

To grow.

To remember.

And to rediscover what godly womanhood looks like when it is rooted in God's Word rather than in impossible expectations.

I Didn't Need Another To-Do List

I needed a deeper walk with God.

That distinction changed everything for me.

There is a huge difference between asking:

“How can I become the perfect woman?”

and asking:

“How can I become the woman God is calling me to become?”

One question produces pressure.

The other creates room for transformation.

The Proverbs 31 woman is often presented as though she is standing at the finish line, holding a checklist.

Strong.

Wise.

Productive.

Hardworking.

Generous.

Prepared.

Respected.

Faithful.

And we look at her and think:

“I could never keep up with her.”

But when I slowed down and actually considered the passage, I began to see something different.

I didn't see an invitation to compete.

I saw an invitation to grow.

“Strength and dignity are her clothing.”

Proverbs 31:25 says:

“Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs at the time to come.”

Think about that for a moment.

Strength and dignity.

Not perfection.

Not performance.

Not popularity.

Not constant productivity.

Strength.

Dignity.

Those are qualities I want to cultivate from the inside out.

Because life has a way of exposing where our foundation really is.

Some days I feel strong.

Other days I don't.

Some mornings I wake up confident.

Other mornings I wake up wondering how I'm going to make it through everything on my plate.

Some days my prayer life feels alive.

Other days my mind is racing before I've even gotten out of bed.

And that's precisely why I wanted this devotional to be a 30-day journey.

Not a demand for perfection.

A journey.

One day at a time.

One reflection at a time.

One prayer at a time.

One step closer to God at a time.

Maybe You're Tired of Trying to Be Everything for Everyone

If I'm being honest, I think many women carry invisible pressure.

We carry expectations nobody else can see.

We think about the home.

The family.

The work.

The responsibilities.

The relationships.

The future.

The things we forgot to do.

The things we should have done.

The things we promised ourselves we'd finally get around to doing.

And then, somewhere in the middle of all of that, we're supposed to nurture our spiritual lives.

Sometimes we don't need another person telling us what we're doing wrong.

Sometimes we need a quiet place to breathe and remember:

God is still here.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart”

Proverbs 3:5–6 gives us a beautiful reminder:

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

I love the honesty of that instruction.

It doesn't tell me I have to understand everything.

It tells me to trust.

That's different.

Because sometimes I want God to explain the entire path before I take the first step.

I want the five-year plan.

The ten-year plan.

The detailed map.

The guarantee that everything will work out exactly as I imagined.

But faith often begins with something much simpler:

“God, I don't know everything that's ahead, but I trust You with today.”

That's the kind of faith I want to nurture.

What Does It Actually Mean to Be a Proverbs 31 Woman?

This is one of the questions I hear beneath so many other questions.

How do I become a godly woman?

How can I grow closer to God?

What does biblical womanhood actually look like?

How can I become stronger without becoming hardened?

How can I be productive without becoming exhausted?

How can I serve others without losing myself?

How do I build a deeper spiritual routine?

How do I stay faithful when life is difficult?

These aren't theoretical questions.

They're real-life questions.

I've asked them too.

And that's why I don't want Proverbs 31 to remain a passage we admire from a distance.

I want it to become something we sit with.

Something we examine.

Something we pray through.

Something we allow to challenge us.

Something we allow to encourage us.

The Proverbs 31 Woman Wasn't Defined by One Thing

She wasn't simply a homemaker.

She wasn't simply a businesswoman.

She wasn't simply a wife.

She wasn't simply a mother.

She wasn't simply a servant.

Her portrait contains many dimensions.

She demonstrates wisdom.

She demonstrates initiative.

She demonstrates generosity.

She demonstrates diligence.

She demonstrates preparation.

She demonstrates strength.

She demonstrates dignity.

She demonstrates reverence for God.

And Proverbs 31:30 brings the focus back to something incredibly important:

“Graceful and beautiful eyes can be deceptive, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”

That's where the deeper conversation begins.

Because outward appearance changes.

Circumstances change.

Seasons change.

Our responsibilities change.

Our energy changes.

Our lives change.

But reverence for God can remain at the center.

What If Your Spiritual Life Doesn't Need More Noise?

What if it needs more intentionality?

I created 30 Day Proverbs 31 Devotional - A Journey Into Godly Womanhood as a resource for women who want to create that intentional space.

You don't have to disappear into a monastery.

You don't need a two-hour morning routine.

You don't have to wake up at 4:00 AM.

You don't need a picture-perfect prayer corner.

And you certainly don't need to pretend that your life is perfectly organized.

You simply need a willing heart.

A few quiet moments.

Your Bible.

A pen.

And a desire to grow.

30 Days Can Change the Way You Look at Your Everyday Life

Imagine beginning your morning differently.

Instead of immediately reaching for your phone...

You pause.

You open your devotional.

You read.

You reflect.

You pray.

You ask yourself:

“What is God showing me today?”

Then you carry that thought into your ordinary life.

Into the kitchen.

Into the office.

Into the car.

Into the conversation with your spouse.

Into motherhood.

Into your friendships.

Into the difficult situation you've been avoiding.

Into the decision you've been praying about.

Into the moments nobody else sees.

Because spiritual growth isn't confined to a devotional page.

The devotional page simply helps us begin.

“She opens her mouth with wisdom”

Proverbs 31:26 says:

“She opens her mouth with wisdom; and loving kindness is on her tongue.”

That verse has challenged me more times than I can count.

Because words are powerful.

We can use them to build.

Or tear down.

Encourage.

Or discourage.

Heal.

Or wound.

Create peace.

Or create unnecessary conflict.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing I can do is pause before responding.

Sometimes wisdom looks like speaking.

Sometimes wisdom looks like remaining quiet.

Sometimes loving kindness means telling the truth.

Sometimes it means choosing compassion when I could easily choose criticism.

This is where biblical womanhood becomes practical.

It isn't just something we discuss.

It's something we live.

What If You're Already Exhausted?

Maybe you're reading this after a long day.

Maybe your house isn't clean.

Maybe dinner wasn't impressive.

Maybe you snapped at someone you love.

Maybe you haven't prayed as much as you wanted to.

Maybe you've been spiritually distracted.

Maybe you've been carrying a burden you haven't told anyone about.

Maybe you're wondering whether you are actually growing at all.

Please hear this:

You don't have to wait until you're perfect to begin again.

Beginning again is part of the journey.

Lamentations 3:22–23 says:

“It is because of the LORD's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

New every morning.

I need that reminder.

Maybe you do too.

This Devotional Is for the Woman Who Wants More Than Inspiration

There is nothing wrong with inspiration.

But inspiration alone isn't always enough.

Sometimes we need practical reflection.

We need questions that make us stop.

We need Scripture that makes us examine our hearts.

We need prayer.

We need intentionality.

We need a rhythm.

We need something that helps us move from:

“That was beautiful.”

to:

“How am I going to live this?”

That's what makes a devotional different from simply scrolling past an encouraging quote.

It invites participation.

What You'll Find Inside Your 30-Day Journey

This devotional was created to help you intentionally explore what godly womanhood can look like through the lens of Proverbs 31.

Throughout your journey, you'll have opportunities to reflect on themes such as:

  • Strength
  • Wisdom
  • Faith
  • Dignity
  • Discipline
  • Courage
  • Generosity
  • Work
  • Stewardship
  • Kindness
  • Character
  • Purpose
  • Preparation
  • Trust
  • Spiritual growth
  • Reverence for God

The goal isn't to wake up on Day 30 and suddenly become a flawless woman.

The goal is deeper.

It's to become more intentional.

More aware.

More grounded.

More prayerful.

More courageous.

More attentive to God's Word.

The Woman Behind the Smile Needs God Too

I think sometimes women become incredibly good at looking okay.

We answer:

“I'm fine.”

Even when we're not.

We smile.

We serve.

We keep going.

We handle responsibilities.

We show up.

But God sees what other people don't.

Psalm 139:1–3 reminds us:

“LORD, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.”

That means I don't have to perform for God.

He already knows me.

He knows the woman behind the smile.

The woman behind the busy schedule.

The woman behind the carefully organized life.

The woman who is exhausted.

The woman who is hopeful.

The woman who is afraid.

The woman who is still healing.

The woman who is still learning.

The woman who is still becoming.

And perhaps most importantly:

He isn't surprised by any of it.

Maybe You Don't Need to Become Someone Else

Maybe you need to become more deeply rooted in who God created you to be.

That's one of the reasons I love the imagery of Proverbs 31.

The woman in this passage isn't passive.

She acts.

She plans.

She works.

She speaks.

She gives.

She prepares.

She creates.

She manages.

She cares.

She demonstrates strength.

But her activity isn't presented as meaningless busyness.

There is purpose behind it.

That's something I want to remember in my own life.

Not everything that keeps me busy is meaningful.

And not everything meaningful looks impressive.

Sometimes faithfulness looks incredibly ordinary.

Making the meal.

Keeping the promise.

Calling the lonely person.

Telling the truth.

Saving for the future.

Helping someone in need.

Teaching your children.

Showing kindness.

Praying when nobody knows you're praying.

Getting up and trying again.

“She considers a field, and buys it”

Proverbs 31:16 says:

“She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.”

I love that this woman thinks.

She considers.

She evaluates.

She plans.

Then she acts.

That's a beautiful picture of intentional living.

She isn't simply reacting to everything happening around her.

She is thinking about the future.

She is stewarding what she has.

She is willing to work toward something that may take time.

And honestly?

That is something many of us need today.

Because we live in a world designed for instant gratification.

Instant messages.

Instant entertainment.

Instant answers.

Instant shopping.

Instant everything.

But character doesn't usually develop instantly.

Wisdom doesn't usually appear overnight.

A deep relationship with God isn't built in a single afternoon.

It grows.

Quietly.

Faithfully.

One day at a time.

What If You Started Today?

Not Monday.

Not January 1.

Not after your house is organized.

Not after your schedule calms down.

Not after you finally become the woman you think you need to be.

Today.

Start with one day.

One Scripture.

One reflection.

One prayer.

One intentional choice.

Then do it again tomorrow.

And again the next day.

Thirty days later, you may look back and realize something important:

You weren't trying to become perfect.

You were learning to become intentional.

And Then There Is the Question of Worth

This is where I think so many women quietly struggle.

“Am I enough?”

Enough for my family?

Enough as a wife?

Enough as a mother?

Enough as a daughter?

Enough in my career?

Enough spiritually?

Enough compared with the woman I see online?

Enough compared with the woman sitting next to me at synagogue?

Enough compared with the woman whose prayer life seems so much deeper?

Comparison can quietly steal our joy.

But Scripture continually redirects our attention toward God.

Isaiah 43:4 says:

“Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you…”

Your value isn't created by comparison.

Your worth isn't measured by somebody else's life.

You don't need to become another woman.

You need to faithfully become the woman God has called you to be.

And Yes, There Will Be Hard Days

A devotional doesn't make life magically easy.

I wish I could promise that.

It doesn't.

There will still be difficult conversations.

Unexpected bills.

Family problems.

Disappointments.

Waiting.

Loss.

Confusion.

Fatigue.

Days when your plans fall apart before breakfast.

Days when you wonder what God is doing.

But perhaps the purpose of spiritual growth isn't to create a life without difficulties.

Perhaps it is to develop a deeper foundation for walking through them.

Psalm 46:1 says:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Not merely a distant God.

A present help.

That matters.

This Is Why I Created “A Journey Into Godly Womanhood”

I wanted something that felt less like a lecture and more like an invitation.

An invitation to sit down.

Open your Bible.

Take a breath.

Think.

Pray.

Write.

Listen.

Grow.

I wanted something you could return to when you need encouragement.

Something you could use during your morning quiet time.

Something you could work through slowly.

Something you could revisit.

Something that could become part of your spiritual routine.

And something that reminds you that becoming a woman of strength and wisdom is a journey—not a performance.

If You're Searching for a Women's Devotional, Start Here

Maybe you've been searching for:

A Proverbs 31 devotional for women.

A 30-day women's devotional.

A devotional about godly womanhood.

A biblical womanhood devotional.

A daily devotional for women.

A Proverbs 31 Bible study.

A devotional for becoming a woman of strength and wisdom.

A spiritual growth devotional for women.

A devotional for women who want to grow closer to God.

If any of those searches sound like you, this devotional was created with you in mind.

If You Feel Spiritually Stuck, Don't Despise Small Beginnings

Zechariah 4:10 asks:

“For who has despised the day of small things?”

Sometimes we think spiritual transformation has to be dramatic.

But what if it begins quietly?

Five minutes of Scripture.

Ten minutes of prayer.

One honest journal entry.

One decision to forgive.

One conversation handled with wisdom.

One moment where you choose patience.

One morning where you choose God's Word before the noise of the world.

Small doesn't mean insignificant.

A small seed can become something much larger.

What If Your Quiet Time Became Something You Looked Forward To?

Imagine creating a little ritual for yourself.

Your Bible.

Your devotional.

A cup of tea or coffee.

A quiet corner.

Your favorite pen.

A few uninterrupted minutes.

Maybe a candle.

Maybe flowers.

Maybe absolute silence because everyone else in the house is finally asleep.

Whatever your reality looks like, make it yours.

Then open the devotional.

Don't rush.

Let the words settle.

Ask yourself:

What is this showing me about God?

What is this revealing about me?

Where am I growing?

Where am I resisting?

What needs to change?

What do I need to surrender?

What do I need to trust?

Those questions can take us deeper than simply reading another inspirational paragraph.

Because Godly Womanhood Isn't About Looking Perfect

It's about cultivating character.

It's about wisdom.

It's about faithfulness.

It's about strength with humility.

It's about dignity without arrogance.

It's about generosity without needing applause.

It's about work without making productivity your identity.

It's about caring for others without forgetting that your own soul needs attention too.

It's about knowing when to speak.

And knowing when to listen.

It's about preparing for tomorrow while remaining faithful today.

It's about learning to trust God when you cannot control the outcome.

“She opens her hand to the poor”

Proverbs 31:20 says:

“She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.”

There is something beautiful about a woman whose strength becomes generosity.

She isn't simply building a life for herself.

She has something to give.

Her character spills outward.

And that challenges me.

Because spiritual growth isn't simply about becoming more knowledgeable.

It's about becoming more loving.

More generous.

More attentive.

More willing to notice the people around us.

Maybe Your Greatest Need Isn't Another Answer

Maybe it is a deeper relationship with the One who holds the answers.

That's why I don't want this devotional to become another thing you consume and forget.

I want it to become a place where you slow down.

Where you reflect.

Where you wrestle with Scripture.

Where you pray honestly.

Where you notice the areas of your life that need attention.

Where you celebrate the areas where you've grown.

Where you remember that God is not asking you to live someone else's story.

A Devotional for the Woman in a Real Life

This is for the woman who has dishes in the sink.

The woman answering emails.

The woman caring for children.

The woman building a business.

The woman working long hours.

The woman caring for aging parents.

The woman navigating marriage.

The woman waiting for an answer.

The woman rebuilding after disappointment.

The woman beginning again.

The woman whose faith feels strong.

The woman whose faith feels fragile.

The woman who knows Scripture well.

The woman who is just beginning to explore it.

The woman who wants to go deeper.

Especially her.

Your 30-Day Invitation

I want to invite you to make the next 30 days intentional.

Not perfect.

Intentional.

Give yourself permission to slow down.

Give yourself permission to reflect.

Give yourself permission to grow.

Give yourself permission to ask difficult questions.

Give yourself permission to discover that godly womanhood isn't about becoming an impossible ideal.

It is about becoming a woman whose life increasingly reflects wisdom, strength, dignity, faith, generosity, and reverence for God.

One day at a time.

“Her lamp doesn't go out by night.”

Proverbs 31:18 says:

“Her lamp doesn't go out by night.”

I don't read that and think:

“I need to work harder.”

I think:

“What is my lamp?”

What am I cultivating?

What am I investing in?

What am I preparing for?

What am I building?

What am I allowing God to develop in me?

Those questions are much more personal.

And they are exactly the kinds of questions worth carrying into a devotional journey.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out

Maybe that's the most important thing I want you to hear.

You can begin while you're still figuring things out.

You can begin while your prayer life isn't perfect.

You can begin while your schedule is messy.

You can begin while you're still healing from yesterday.

You can begin while you're uncertain about tomorrow.

You can begin because today is still yours.

And God's faithfulness doesn't depend on your ability to have everything figured out.

Deuteronomy 31:8 says:

“The LORD himself is the one who will go before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don't be afraid. Don't be discouraged.”

Read that again.

He will go before you.

That changes the way I look at an uncertain future.

30 Days.

One Journey.

A Deeper Walk.

30 Day Proverbs 31 Devotional - A Journey Into Godly Womanhood was created for the woman who doesn't simply want to read about biblical womanhood.

She wants to live it.

She wants to become wiser.

Stronger.

More intentional.

More grounded.

More faithful.

She wants to deepen her spiritual routine.

She wants meaningful quiet time with God.

She wants to examine her heart.

She wants to understand the qualities reflected in Proverbs 31.

She wants encouragement when she feels overwhelmed.

She wants practical reflection instead of empty inspiration.

And most of all…

she wants to go deeper.

Your Next 30 Days Can Begin With One Page

You don't need to know exactly where this journey will take you.

You don't need to have every question answered.

You don't need to become a different person overnight.

Just begin.

Open the page.

Open your Bible.

Open your heart.

And give God room to meet you there.

Because perhaps becoming a woman of strength, wisdom, dignity, and faith doesn't happen in one dramatic moment.

Perhaps it happens in hundreds of small moments.

A prayer.

A decision.

A Scripture.

A quiet morning.

A difficult conversation.

A generous act.

A surrendered worry.

A courageous step.

A renewed mind.

A faithful choice.

Day after day.

Until one day you look back and realize:

I have grown.

Not because I became perfect.

But because I kept walking.
