A Prayer That My Child Will Never Use Obscene Language: Messianic Jewish Prayer With Bible Verses

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a burdened heart, seeking Your guidance and protection for my child. I pray that You would guard their lips and keep them from using obscene language. Lord, I ask that You would instill in them a reverence for Your name and a respect for the power of words.

Your Word teaches us in Colossians 3:8, "But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth." Father, I pray that You would help my child to understand the harmful effects of obscene language and to choose words that reflect Your holiness and purity.

In Psalm 141:3, it says, "Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!" Lord, I pray that You would set a guard over my child's mouth, helping them to be mindful of the words they speak. May they be filled with Your Spirit, enabling them to resist the temptation to use obscene language.

I also ask for Your wisdom and discernment to guide me as a parent. Help me to model appropriate speech and to teach my child the value of using words that honor You and build others up. May my own words be a reflection of Your grace and truth.

Lord, I know that I cannot control every aspect of my child's life, but I trust in Your power to transform their heart and mind. I pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, enabling them to resist the influence of the world and to instead speak words that reflect Your love and righteousness.

In Psalm 19:14, it says, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Father, I pray that this verse would become a reality in my child's life. May their words be pleasing to You, reflecting a heart that is surrendered to Your will.

I thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. I trust in Your love and provision for my child, knowing that You are able to keep them from stumbling. May they grow in wisdom and maturity, becoming a vessel of Your love and truth in this world.

In the precious name of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah), I pray. Amen.
